How to Get a Library Card
Sign Up for a Full-Service Library Card.
Cards are available for Ohio residents of all ages. You may fill out an application for a new library card at any of our library locations. Applicants must present valid identification with their current mailing address. Acceptable forms of ID and proof of address can be found here.
Cards are available for individuals of all ages. A parent or legal guardian must present identification and sign a library card application for any minor child. The child must accompany the adult when the application is made. The parent/guardian is responsible for all materials borrowed on the child’s card.
Patrons of the Wayne County Public Library can use their library card at 47 libraries in Northeast Ohio through CLEVNET, a group of libraries linked by an automation system owned and operated by the Cleveland Public Library. Cards obtained from any of the CLEVNET libraries will also work at all other libraries in the CLEVNET system, including WCPL.
A Full-Service Library Card lets you:
Check out books, audiobooks, DVDs, and other physical items at the library
Place holds on items in the catalog
Access public computers at the library
Access all the library’s digital services and resources
Patrons aged 18 and over can also access materials from the Library of Things.
