With the recent renovation of the Wooster Main Library, four new study rooms are now available for public use.
Study rooms can be booked online with a library card here. If you do not have a library card you can get one here.
You can also reserve the rooms in person at the library or call 330-262-0916.
The Main Library has several study rooms of various sizes that can hold anywhere from one to six people. Study rooms are available during times when they are not in use for the library or library-sponsored programs and activities. Study rooms are available during the hours the library is open, until 15 minutes before closing.
All general meeting room policies apply to these rooms. In addition:
- A library card in good standing is required for all study room reservations.
- Study rooms may be scheduled for free tutoring sessions, proctoring of exams, and business/educational purposes.
- Rooms may be booked up to 30 days in advance in person, by phone, or through the library’s website, for up to two hours per day, with a maximum of three days per week. At the end of a two-hour session, patrons may reserve additional time in one-hour increments when a study room is free, and no one is waiting to use it. It is the patron’s responsibility to make staff aware when they require additional time.
- If study rooms are not reserved, they are available to library cardholders in good standing on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Family groups and students under the age of 18 receive priority for the study room in the Children’s Department.
- Fees may not be charged by patrons using the study rooms, and use of the study rooms by paid tutors/trainers for profit is prohibited.
- Excessive no-shows or cancellations by individuals will result in loss of privileges. Bookings will be held for 15 minutes unless the user has notified the library that he/she will be late.
- The library reserves the right to cancel, change, or limit reservations if circumstances at the library so demand.
- Drinks without lids and hot or prepared foods are not permitted in study rooms
