Dalton Friends of the Library sponsor the sale of prepaid shred bags at the library service desk as an ongoing fundraiser. The Friends also provide assistance and snacks for library programs as well as library decorations and program supplies. 

Recent Projects

• 2022 - Purchased gift basket for Elf on the Shelf Christmas promotion
  • Distributed snacks and bookmarks at children's summer reading programs
• 2021 - Purchased new Christmas tree for adult reading room
  • Purchased portable sound system for outdoor programs

Past Projects

• 2017 -Purchased additional toys for Children’s Area
• 2017 - Purchased two outdoor benches
• 2018 - Held courtesy classes for children
• 2018- Purchased program supplies
• Sponsorship of a shred truck at the library in April and November as an ongoing fundraiser
• Continuing to purchase library decorations on an ongoing basis
• Provide assistance and snacks for library programs
• Amazon book sales as a fundraiser
• Purchased and planted flowers at the Dalton Library – done yearly
• Participate in the Dalton Holiday Festival Open House – done yearly
• Buehler’s Lunch Stand Fundraisers

• Purchased refrigerator/freezer for branch – 2009
